I arrived at the night shelter some two months ago through a referral from CADS of which I am a client. I was homeless and extremely sick and hung over from a bender on alcohol. Through the caring support of the staff here at the shelter I am now two months sober and have also managed to get a part time job. The shelter staff made a CV for me. This is the first time I have been back in employment for over 10 years.

I find the support and the structure have been very beneficial to helping me get back on my feet. I am also being considered for Social Housing. I would recommend that anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation as I was in to consider the night shelter. It is choice.
