OPERATIONS MANAGER
The Operations Manager is responsible for the day to day running of Takitimu House and to effectively lead our team towards excellence in service provision.
Our team is dedicated to transforming the lives of 'hard to reach' men. The Operations Manager has a focus on team well-being both at work and at home. A highly functional team is a happy team, a well team, a team who are their best selves at work and in their personal lives.

SOCIAL WORKER
A full time Social Worker is responsible for assessment, goal plans, referrals, internal and external client programs. Our Social Worker remains true to our philosophy of client centered service provision in all facts of engagement.
No stone is left unturned to empower our men to reach their potential, self-determination being pivotal in all that we do.
It is imperative that our social worker is well connected within our community and navigates systems and criteria to best meet the needs of our tane.

SUPPORT WORKER
Ensuring the immediate needs of each person is attended to when entering into our service, we call this 'rolling out the red carpet'. The support worker's role is to walk alongside each Tane from entry into Takitimu House to a point of transition with safety, sustainability, independence and wellbeing a priority.
Practical support is vital to ensure our men are set up to succeed and barriers are removed. Empowering our people to be well positioned in our society.

KAITIAKI / SUPERVISOR
Kaitiaki are primarily responsible for ensuring a warm, welcoming and harmonious environment. Each person who arrives at Takitimu House will be greeted with a warm smile and shown the ropes including health and safety and evacuation. Kaitiaki are available 24/7 to ensure our whare is safe, secure and clean.
KAITIAKI / SUPERVISORS
Overnight supervisors are available to ensure the whare has 24/7 support and assistance. Our supervisors are non-judgmental, kind and ready to help. A safe, calm and harmonious environment at all times is a priority.
In work training ensures our supervisors know what to do and when to do it in times of crisis, un-wellness or an emergency such as activated fire alarms.
KAIWHAKATERE
Our Kaiwhakatere is dedicated to supporting our tane to reconnect with whakapapa, whenua and with whanau. This is achieved through engaging with our tane from a truly holistic approach that aligns with Te Whare Tapa Wha and truly encapsulates Maori Models of care.
Engagement and assessment process can vary from hikoi and wananga to whanau hui and learning pepeha. Having the ability to connect with our people in ways that meet their needs, often outside of the traditional formal office setting if this is what they request. A therapeutic space for our tane is vital to truly enhance mana and self-determination.
